Full comments on book submissionSome of the comments were too long to keep them in the list, but it seemed not appropriate to remove all the info, so here is the full text.
Cruise Into TerrorI am the author of the upcoming book, due to be released in about a month at online book dealers. This is my first published novel, but I have been writing for 22 years and have a collection of many stories I have written. Cruise Into Terror is one of my absolute favorites, and it also serves as a valuable lesson to women about dating possible abusers and the consequences. What happens to the woman in the story is not typical of how far a stalker would go in reality, but the scenario of a jilted man wanting to kill the woman of his affections, rather than to live without her is a true situation that happens frequently. I hope that women who read my book will be a little more alert to men with hints of a controlling nature so they can get out of the relationship early before things go too far, as they do with my character. Although I catagorize this story as a romance, it is actually a comedy/romance/adventure that will appeal to men as well as women. If you would like a picture of the cover, or a copy of the manuscript to look over in order to see if this book would be right for your club, please e-mail me. I can also place you on my list to notify as soon as I get an exact release date for the book. You can also check the first three chapters out on a website called 'The New Writer's Market', where I was recently the featured author of the week.
My Wife's Last LoverI know this is shameless self-promotion, but I do honestly think (okay, I'm prejudiced) that my book lends itself to book-group discussions. It's about all those man-woman issues that everyone I know talks about all the time. You can check it out (read a sample chapter and the book-group guide, etc) on the Web site above. Last note: my book is published by a Berkeley publisher. Thanks for the shot. Martin

Bit at LargeBit at Large is an illustrated metaphysical science fiction story that really can't be classed by genre. It attempts to break the boundaries between genres, and to step out of the formula, providing powerful entertainment for minds numbed by the continued drivel that is pumped onto the pulp genberally sold in our book stores under the guise of entertainment. (Cover Blurb) Bit, a Twelve Year old angel with a penchant for mischief, is given a dangerous mission: She has to stop an interplanetary war before it starts. There are no other angels to help Bit, despite the fact that if she fails, Earth will be taken over by aliens and the entire human race will cease to exist. "Bit at Large" is a poignant, whimsical story with complex characters, fast paced action, and sensual, imaginative locales. |
