Cruise Into Terror

I am the author of the upcoming book, due to be released in about a month at online book dealers. This is my first published novel, but I have been writing for 22 years and have a collection of many stories I have written. Cruise Into Terror is one of my absolute favorites, and it also serves as a valuable lesson to women about dating possible abusers and the consequences. What happens to the woman in the story is not typical of how far a stalker would go in reality, but the scenario of a jilted man wanting to kill the woman of his affections, rather than to live without her is a true situation that happens frequently. I hope that women who read my book will be a little more alert to men with hints of a controlling nature so they can get out of the relationship early before things go too far, as they do with my character. Although I catagorize this story as a romance, it is actually a comedy/romance/adventure that will appeal to men as well as women. I know this is shameless self-promotion, but I do honestly think (okay, I'm prejudiced) that my book lends itself to book-group discussions. I acknowledge that it takes chutzpah to sing the praises of ones own book but when your book is only available online you have to seek out readers through every channel that's accessible. My novel is a dark satire about the politics of and the obsession with guns in the United States. Along with being available from the publisher, Xlibris, the novel is also carried by Amazon, BN.com and Borders.com. Logging onto the URL given will allow readers to view a synopsis and excerpt. Check it out. Maybe you'll like it and want to purchase it or maybe it's not your cup of tea. It's my first published novel and I'm trying to get back to the novel I was working on but promotion takes up a lot of time and energy. Best wishes to all of you in the Bay area.

I am a recently published author of detective and mystery novels,attempting to become known. Publishers don't tend to spend a lot on marketing unknown new guys, so I am learning to market on my own.
